Every out of stock item is validated and confirmed by a Restaurant Depot supervisor. We have a process where Restaurant depot searches for items that were out of stock at the time of picking. If they find it, then that item will be given to us to fulfill your order. This confirms that an item is truly out of stock for the day.
We communicate all out of stock items at the earliest possible time. To decrease the amount of out of stock items per delivery, we recommend using the “substitute” feature which allows us to substitute any unavailable items with the closest available product.
You can select those items that were not available at the time of your delivery (plus an additional 3 items) and create a “fill in” order for the next day. This delivery charge is only a 5% fee
